Speyer Airport is the public airfield of the City of Speyer.
The runway was extended in Autumn 2011 to a total of 1677 meters. It is therefore possible to have take-off and landings of up to 1400 meters. This length is sufficient to meet the newly introduced European safety margins according to EASA CAT.POL.A.230 and EASA NCC.POL.130 for commercial aircraft and company transportation.
The airport is situated in the south-east of the city at a bend in the River Rhine. Speyer Cathedral can be reached by a 10-minute walk. Speyer Technical Museum is adjacent to the north of the airport. The city-centre can be reached in a few minutes with the City-Shuttle from the stop at the Technical Museum. Speyer has a main railway station with connections to the Rhine-Neckar public transport system. There is also a railway line to Ludwigshafen as well as Mannheim, the nearest connection to the high-speed ICE trains.
Can we do more for you? We offer extensive services to our “flying” guests and for your aircraft. Speyer is THE airport for companies in the Rhine Neckar Metropolitan Area with international orientation.
We welcome all comments and reviews, all compliments and also all constructive criticism. We can only improve our work and services if we receive honest feedback from our valued guests. Please feel free to give us your opinions.
