As of Friday, 19 December 2025, Speyer Airfield (EDRY) is accessible via published IFR instrument approach procedures. A prior cancellation of IFR is no longer required.
For both runway directions, GPS-based RNP approaches are available. For each runway, the following procedures may be used:
For IFR arrivals to EDRY, the EUROCONTROL Route Availability Document (RAD) requires RINEX to be filed as the final waypoint in the flight plan. This requirement applies even if it is not immediately apparent from the published procedure design.
To ensure successful flight plan acceptance, please include RINEX as the mandatory final waypoint in the ROUTE field when filing IFR flight plans to EDRY.
IFR departures from EDRY are currently not available.
To avoid rejection by the responsible ACC and the need for re-filing, please file VFR or Z flight plans only for departures from EDRY.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Speyer!
